JAZZ LUNCH
Chairman Brett Jackson welcomed a company of 100 at the Grampian-
After lunch Ken Watmough conducted an auction of items donated to raise funds to send two Robert Gordon University student nurses -
Items sold included a mattress to be handmade at Glencraft's Aberdeen factory; two tickets for any Eastern Airways flight from Aberdeen; a weekend self-
Aberdeen and at the new Hampton by Hilton Hotel, Dyce; a Barbour Beaufort Jacket donated by Country Ways, Aberdeen, and a Haig's Food Hall Hamper donated by the Scottish PA Network.
The auction and a raffle raised more than £2900 towards the cost of the nursing exchange between the Robert Gordon University and Houston Baptist University.
Brett expressed the Association's thanks to all those who donated prizes and those who purchased them, the Struttin' Futrets who supplied the music, the Marcliffe Hotel, Marlene McLeod who was in charge of arrangements for the Jazz Lunch and to all those who supported the event.
